Outside, the large garden is equipped with tables, benches, and a barbecue, and so, whether it’s simply sitting and reading, taking in the breathtaking views or inviting friends for an alfresco lunch or supper, all of the amenities are at your disposal. When you have had enough of relaxing or you are getting a little too much Italian sunshine, just follow the steps down and cool off in the exclusive swimming pool and shower. There is also a pond area filled with aquatic plants and fish for your delight.
The house is surrounded by a territory rich in history, culture and natural beauty, and is only 1km from the medieval hill top town of Penna San Giovanni – which is 700meters above sea level.
5km away is the lovely Villa Saline Park which extends right up to the river from which spring sulphurous, natural and healing water sources. Here, if you are feeling energetic, you can enjoy stunning walks or mountain biking over many different routes, including the tourist trail ‘Landscapes of Water’ – the name given to a network of over 50 km of tourist and historical itineraries, taking in the towns of Gualdo, Penna San Giovanni and Sant’Angelo in Pontano. This trail was awarded the prestigious ‘Miflor’ prize in 1999. The area is absolutely ideal for walking holidays and cycling holidays in Marche, Italy.
You can use the house as a starting point for summer holiday trips to the seaside in one direction and for winter sports holidays and walking holidays- the mountains in the other. There are skiing facilities in the winter months above the town of Sarnano on Sassotetto. The slopes are suitable for both the beginner and the more experienced skier. Additionally some of the most beautiful and safe beaches of the Adriatic coastline can be found between Monte Conero and San Benedetto. Whilst you are here, you can visit some of the old towns and villages around including Loreto, Macerata, Urbisaglia, Sarnano and Fermo, trying out many of the fine ‘ristoranti’ found within.
